Deep Dive into Fitzmaurice Voicework, Clown, and Mask Work

This transformative workshop offers an immersive experience into the profound techniques of Fitzmaurice Voicework, Clowning, and Mask Work, empowering participants to unlock their creative potential and explore new dimensions in performance. These practices allow performers to deepen their voice, engage their physicality, and embrace a variety of rich, cultural artistic traditions.

Key Focus Areas:

Fitzmaurice Voicework

Unlock the full potential of your voice through Fitzmaurice Voicework, a technique that uses breath, physical effort, and awareness to free the voice. Participants will explore the deep connection between breath, body, and voice, expanding their vocal range and emotional resonance. This practice will empower you to speak, sing, and perform with clarity and vitality.

Mask Work

Drawing from the powerful traditions of Balinese Mask Work, this practice connects voice, body, and persona, unlocking deep creative potential. Participants will explore physical, emotional, and intuitive expressions through masks, allowing you to embody different characters and energies. This is an essential part of developing a true understanding of performance and creative freedom.

Budi Miller Taksu Training (BMTT)

BMTT integrates diverse methodologies, offering a safe space for actors to explore their fullest potential. Through guided exercises and self-inquiry, participants will explore the relationship between the actor-self and the character-self, tapping into their imagination and emotional life. This method encourages the release of emotional blocks and the discovery of untapped creative impulses, helping actors break through restrictive patterns and achieve authentic performances.

Organ Emotional Work (OEM)

Inspired by Stephan Perdekamp's research and expanded through Dr. Miller’s approach, OEM is an innovative method for accessing and processing emotions in a sustainable way. This biological approach to emotional expression helps performers release emotional blocks and tap into their emotional truth. Participants will benefit from exercises that liberate the body and soul, fostering both emotional wellbeing and artistic growth.
